Metabolism consists of the processes which happen in the cells in order for an organism to continue living. Metabolism involves the conversion of food into energy, conversion of food into the body building blocks and elimination of substances that are left after the metabolic processes such as carbon dioxide and nitrogen.  Metabolism supports the growth and reproduction of an organism, maintains the structure of the body and enables an organism to respond to the changes in the environment.  The movement of food from the mouth to the stomach and the exchange of substances within the cell is known as metabolism.  Slow metabolism can lead to the following; increased weight, high blood pressure, excessive sweating and poor circulation of blood.  Below are the effective ways to improve the rate of metabolism.
